Joshua Tree Yoga Retreat Preview

One of the unique aspects of Rooted Renewal retreats is our agenda. Based on the location, time of year, lineup of instructors and more, each retreat experience is different. We’ve had the honor of many of our students joining us for multiple retreats. Each time, we provide them with a different experience.

I firmly believe this is a big part of why they choose to come back. Because we like to mix things up, we always provide a retreat preview of what to expect with each location. This year in Joshua Tree will be our second time at Gaia Villa. Read on for a preview of the magic we’re planning for our time together in the desert.

Dates: August 21-24, 2025

Location: Gaia Villa

Gaia Villa is a 3.5 acre property in Yucca Valley just outside Joshua Tree, California. It features amenities such as a salt water pool, indoor & outdoor yoga studios, jacuzzi tub, alkaline water on tap and more. We hosted our first retreat here in July 2024 and knew from the minute we left that we had to come back. This August will be round two!

If you would like to know what rooms we still have available for this retreat, you can review our accommodations pdf here. A few of the remaining options are shared rooms. If you have a partner or friends you’d like to attend with, this would be a great option to shave a few hundred dollars off your ticket price.

Agenda

We typically release our retreat agenda early to give folks time to plan and also decide if they want to add-on any additional experiences that will be offered (such as massages). Below is what we have planned for our time in Joshua Tree. Occasionally we make slight adjustments when necessary. Mostly around the timing or order of classes, workshops, etc. Click the sections below to check out what we have planned for each day.

Food

We get a lot of questions about food at our retreats. We’re excited to share that we’re partnering with Mackenzie Larsen of Larsen Culinary, a private chef from the Phoenix metro area! We worked with Mackenzie at our first retreat of the year in Paradise Valley, Arizona back in February. We’re big fans!

Upon booking your deposit we ask about any dietary preferences that you may have. This helps us work with our chefs to design a menu that meets the needs of everyone. 3 meals per day are included in your ticket with the exception of arrival and departure days. Upon arrival (8/21 @ 4pm), we will kick off the night with a community dinner. On the final day (8/24), we will leave you with a light breakfast after the closing ceremony.

A final menu will be shared 1-2 weeks prior to the retreat.

We’re so excited to return to Joshua Tree this August. The desert holds a special place in our hearts and we are stoked to be able to share that energy with you.
